October 21, 2026 – Pittsburgh, PA – Brentwood Bank announced today that Michael P. Harkins, CPA, former Senior Vice President and Director of the Credit and Financial Risk Control Group at PNC Financial Services Group, has joined the Brentwood Bank Board of Directors.

Mr. Harkins brings more than 40 years of accounting, auditing, risk management, and banking leadership experience to Brentwood Bank. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Director of the Credit and Financial Risk Control Group at PNC Financial Services Group, where he oversaw processes for monitoring and assessing credit and market risk controls and provided critical reporting and guidance to executive leadership, regulators, auditors, and governance committees. Previously, he led PNC’s Centralized Allowance Team, Sarbanes-Oxley Department, and Internal Audit functions during a distinguished career spanning more than two decades with the organization.

Prior to his tenure at PNC, Mr. Harkins served as a Senior Audit Manager with Ernst & Young, working with major financial institutions in both the United States and Canada. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of Federal Assurance Corporation, where he helped strengthen financial reporting and operational performance to support the organization’s growth and eventual majority acquisition by TransAmerica Corporation.
Mr. Harkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Dayton and is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for developing high-performing teams, strengthening governance practices, and fostering strong relationships with executive leadership, boards, auditors, and regulators.
