Summary of Basic Function: 

As a Personal Banker you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to ensure our customer’s entire banking experience is extraordinary. You will be responsible for providing a seamless transition between accurate and courteous teller based transactions as well as answering questions and/or resolving complex technical problems on customer accounts. You will develop recommendations, based on the customer’s needs, and will sell consumer and small business products/services to existing and new customers, and cross-sell other bank services, referring customers to other departments as appropriate. You will take personal initiative and be a positive role model for others to emulate.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create a superior and meaningful customer focused experience for each customer or potential customer. Be an expert on retail and consumer bank products.
  • Warmly greet (by name if possible) and actively engage customers/prospects in the lobby, on the teller line, or on the phone.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and inquiries and other customer originated service needs with the intent of enhancing customer retention and exploring additional sales opportunities. Research and answer customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts, products, rates and services.
  • Actively participate in attaining branch goals, by actively promoting bank and related products and services to customers and future customers.
  • Recommend and sell appropriate products and services (consumer and small business) both in person and on the telephone.
  • Promote, assist and educate customer’s use of self service and remote channels, such as ATM, online banking and bill pay; and provide hands-on demonstration of these services.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered; taking responsibility and initiative to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.
  • Refer larger business accounts and commercial opportunities as identified during discussions with the customer to Branch Manager, Relationship Bankers or Commercial Lenders as appropriate.
  • Identify and refer sales opportunities to an investment advisor at Brentwood Advisors.
  • Discuss all types of consumer lending needs with customers. Identify and refer customers who need a mortgage loan to a Branch Manager or Relationship Banker who is a registered Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) holder.
  • Comply with all Federal/State banking regulations and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination including the SAFE Act and SAFE Act registration and renewal rules as defined by the bank, if applicable. Comply with all bank operating and security policies and procedures and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain and accurately balance a cash drawer and TCR, and teller window. Verify totals to generated proof sheet. Accurately balance transit and on-us checks and process via Branch Capture.
  • Assist in branch balancing and completing end of day functions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of customer interactions, referrals communications, preferences, problems and information in Quest CRM.
  • Complete leads assigned on Quest CRM.
  • Promote a positive image of Brentwood Bank in the community through involvement in community events and other bank functions.
  • Assist the Personal Banker II and Branch Manager with business and personal sales calls, bank at works and other customer outreach programs.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • One to two years of banking experience required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Development of new business contacts and relationships.
  • Service and grow relationships with current customers.

  • Develop relationships across as many lines of business as possible for maximum service and long-term retention. 
  • Assisting bank personnel in other areas with commercial loan referrals.

  • Promote internal communications with all Bank departments to ensure quality and consistency in the Bank service offerings.
  • Represent and promote favorable image and uphold the Bank reputation through involvement in community activities. 
  • “The Face” of Brentwood Bank when calling on customers – responsible for complete and thorough knowledge of offered Bank products and services. 
  • Evaluate needs of prospective and current loan clients in an effective manner.  Responsible for full credit analysis of customer financial statements in keeping with Bank loan covenants and requirements. 
  • Conduct annual renewal of lines of credit via analysis of financial information, making recommendations for continuation, increases and reductions in authorized limits.
  • Researches trends and technical developments through related publications and training sessions to maintain current knowledge and specifically meet customer requests. 
  • Understands and supports sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Job Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  
  • Five years of demonstrated sales experience in a bank or financial institution. 
  • Five years of credit experience in a bank or financial institution
  • Demonstrated superior customer service, sales and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management/prioritization skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Requires a current and active driver’s license and clean driving record.

Basic Qualifications Required:

We are seeking a full-time Loan Operations Specialist that will be located at our Main Office in Bethel Park.

Summary of Basic Function: 

Maintains loans through set-up and servicing on the Bank’s core processing system for Commercial, Leasing, Residential, Construction, Home Equity, and Consumer Loans.  Ensures information is complete and accurate when each loan is booked and when payments are processed.  Processing is performed in compliance with all federal and state regulations, Bank policies and procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides a superior customer experience to all internal and external customers
  • Books new loan data onto the Bank’s core processing system; reviews loans    that other department members have booked for accuracy.
  • Processes loan payments in accordance with Bank procedures
  • Ensures that all requisite loan documentation is retained in Treeno, the Bank’s document storage system.
  • Maintains system for tax escrow on real estate related loans.  Processes escrow payments when due and helps to facilitate annual escrow analysis.  Interfaces with county and local tax collecting agencies when necessary.
  • Satisfactorily resolves customer account requests for payoffs, balances, inquiries, complaint resolution etc.
  • Processes customer information changes and correspondence. 
  • Enters HMDA data into the Loan Application Register for regulatory reporting.
  • Reviews maturing and closed loans for correct amortization and collection of any remaining fees and charges.  Files necessary satisfactions and releases. 
  • Performs detailed research of customer accounts when necessary.
  • Assists in the preparation of various loan schedules and reports.
  • Reviews daily reports for exceptions and takes action when appropriate.
  • Performs file maintenance as required.
  • Represents and promotes a favorable image and upholds the reputation of the Bank through involvement in community activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Basic Function:

The Mortgage underwriter is responsible for approving or disapproving loan applications and determining if the client has the capacity to repay the mortgage loan. Accept and complete residential and consumer loan applications for processing. Maintain accurate and complete loan files in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and bank policies and procedures. The Mortgage Underwriter will review all credit, asset, income, and collateral documentation to produce a sound credit decision based on Brentwood Bank policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Will maintain a NMLS number in order to originate applications.
  • Responsible in deciding to approve or deny client’s mortgage loans according to relevant information being provided with their loan applications
  • Will be knowledgeable in regulations/ATR (ability to repay) during the underwriting process
  • Will verify employment along with income information, provide reviews on credit history and compute the borrower’s assets and collateral
  • Ensure that the specifications of properties and terms of loans meet the requirements of the financial institution and with the government regulations
  • Assist branch staff with loan applications
  • Communicates with branch staff and loan officer to ensure application information is complete and accurate.
  • Obtains and analyzes credit, employment profile, credit strength, property characteristics, and all other information pertinent to the credit decision on each mortgage application
  • Select required conditions on each deal to be satisfied prior to funding and input information into the system.
  • Verify accuracy of supporting employment, down payment, appraisal, and financial documentation received.
  • Review documentation for compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Correspond with processors to get outstanding documentation needed to complete requirements per the commitment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complicated issues as they arise
  • Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask       
  • Prioritize deals in Workflow queue in order to minimize turnaround time.
  • Calculates debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios
  • Must maintain working knowledge of Encompass loan system functionalities
  • Prepares commitment letter or adverse action notice based on loan decision
  • Provide a superior customer experience to all internal and external customers
  • Represent and promote favorable image and uphold the reputation through involvement in community activities
  • Other duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, banking, finance, or any related field is preferred
  • Three to five years previous underwriting experience; mortgage lending; conventional, purchase and construction preferred.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of Encompass Loan Origination System.
  • Proven analytical skills, report writing skills and thorough attention to detail
  • Self-directed.  Ability to work autonomously, to prioritize work and to meet deadlines
  • Strong MS Office Suite, and Mortgage Origination Systems
