Summary of Basic Function: 

As a Personal Banker you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to ensure our customer’s entire banking experience is extraordinary. You will be responsible for providing a seamless transition between accurate and courteous teller based transactions as well as answering questions and/or resolving complex technical problems on customer accounts. You will develop recommendations, based on the customer’s needs, and will sell consumer and small business products/services to existing and new customers, and cross-sell other bank services, referring customers to other departments as appropriate. You will take personal initiative and be a positive role model for others to emulate.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create a superior and meaningful customer focused experience for each customer or potential customer. Be an expert on retail and consumer bank products.
  • Warmly greet (by name if possible) and actively engage customers/prospects in the lobby, on the teller line, or on the phone.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and inquiries and other customer originated service needs with the intent of enhancing customer retention and exploring additional sales opportunities. Research and answer customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts, products, rates and services.
  • Actively participate in attaining branch goals, by actively promoting bank and related products and services to customers and future customers.
  • Recommend and sell appropriate products and services (consumer and small business) both in person and on the telephone.
  • Promote, assist and educate customer’s use of self service and remote channels, such as ATM, online banking and bill pay; and provide hands-on demonstration of these services.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered; taking responsibility and initiative to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.
  • Refer larger business accounts and commercial opportunities as identified during discussions with the customer to Branch Manager, Relationship Bankers or Commercial Lenders as appropriate.
  • Identify and refer sales opportunities to an investment advisor at Brentwood Advisors.
  • Discuss all types of consumer lending needs with customers. Identify and refer customers who need a mortgage loan to a Branch Manager or Relationship Banker who is a registered Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) holder.
  • Comply with all Federal/State banking regulations and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination including the SAFE Act and SAFE Act registration and renewal rules as defined by the bank, if applicable. Comply with all bank operating and security policies and procedures and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain and accurately balance a cash drawer and TCR, and teller window. Verify totals to generated proof sheet. Accurately balance transit and on-us checks and process via Branch Capture.
  • Assist in branch balancing and completing end of day functions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of customer interactions, referrals communications, preferences, problems and information in Quest CRM.
  • Complete leads assigned on Quest CRM.
  • Promote a positive image of Brentwood Bank in the community through involvement in community events and other bank functions.
  • Assist the Personal Banker II and Branch Manager with business and personal sales calls, bank at works and other customer outreach programs.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

We are seeking a full-time Loan Operations Supervisor.  The Loan Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day performance of all back-office loan processing. This position directs the efforts of the back-office support personnel in coordination to best maintain loans by set-up and servicing on core system for Commercial, Leasing, Residential, Construction, Home Equity, and Consumer Loans.  Ensures information is complete and accurate on each loan and ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations, Bank policies and procedures.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and coordination of all daily Loan Operations staff and functions to assure accuracy and efficiencies. 
  • Provides a superior customer experience to all internal and external customers.  
  • Maintains and reviews information relating to hazard, flood, private mortgage, and auto policies when required on originated loans.
  • Ensures maintenance of a system for tax and other escrow accounts on real estate related loans.  Oversees processing of escrow payments when due and performance of annual escrow analysis.  Interfaces with county and local tax collecting agencies when necessary.
  • Makes sure that department staff satisfactorily resolve customer account requests for payoffs, balances, inquiries, complaint resolution etc. 
  • Oversees processing of maintenance relating to customer information and account preferences.
  • Manages HMDA data collection and Loan Application Register submission process.
  • Ensures that all requisite satisfactions and releases are filed in association with paid-off loans within required time frames.
  • Performs detailed research of customer accounts when necessary.
  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of loan schedules and reports as required.
  • Oversees loan payment processing and processes payment when needed.
  • Reviews daily reports for exceptions and takes appropriate action as warranted.
  • Performs and reviews file maintenance as required.
  • Manages the setup of all new loans in the core system (including loans purchased and sold to other financial institutions or investors) and ensures data accuracy.
  • Ensures that requisite legal documentation for originated loans is scanned for retention in the Bank’s document imaging system (Treeno).
  • Represents and promotes favorable image and upholds the Bank’s reputation through involvement in community activities.
  • Facilitates remittance payments for sold loans as needed.
  • Completes monthly reconciliations for all sold loans.
  • Reviews credit disputes and corrects the information in e-OSCAR, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, in business or related field.
  • One to two years of loan processing experience preferred. 
  • Supervisory experience preferred.  
  • Analytical report writing skills and attention to detail is required.
  • Self-directed.  Must possess the ability to work autonomously and to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • MS Office Suite Experience and proficiency in Excel required. 
  • Demonstrated superior customer service skills.

  • Maintain and accurately balance the teller cash recycler (TCR) and teller window if applicable. Verify totals to generated proof sheet. Accurately balance transit and on-us checks and process via Branch Capture.
  • Report any discrepancies to supervisor as necessary. Maintain daily work in good order. Safeguard confidential customer information.
