TRPIL Chooses Brentwood Bank for Expertise, Authenticity
When Transitional Paths to Independent Living (TRPIL) was seeking a new financial partner, the Washington, PA based organization met with at least eight local banks to discuss its needs.
Brentwood Bank came out on top thanks to its financial knowledge, expertise and due to it being the most “real and authentic.”
Transitional Paths to Independent Living (TRPIL) is a membership-based Center for Independent Living operated by a local community of people with disabilities. It brings together individuals who face common barriers with programs such as Peer Support, Home Care and Nursing Home Transition, Youth Programs, Advocacy, and Information on equal access, assistive technology, education, employment, housing, and transportation. TRPIL provides Medicaid based Home and Community Based Services through its affiliate TRPIL Community Services.
Today, Brentwood Bank provides all of TRPIL’s financial services, including checking accounts and a line of credit to assist with its $9 million capital campaign renovating the former YWCA Building in Washington.
According to Joann Naser, TRPIL’s Director of Development, when TRPIL’s prior bank was purchased by a larger bank, a Request For Services was drafted and sent to all local banking institutions. The number of responses was encouraging given that TRPIL’s banking needs are complex. “Brentwood Bank’s proposal was accepted for several reasons: reduced fees, consolidation and simplification of some complex aspects of our banking set up,” said Naser, “in addition to the recommendation to use advance banking technology to simplify routine banking transactions; and the assignment of a banking team who was knowledgeable and always available to assist us in our banking conversion.”
But for Naser and TRPIL, the biggest difference in working with Brentwood Bank, is the personal attention and sense of community the Bank brings to the table.
“We appreciate the personal service, commitment and care TRPIL staff receive when they call Brentwood Bank’s office. They get a real person who can really help in the situation,” she adds. “Brentwood Bank is also a great community partner and has been supportive of TRPIL’s 5K, golf outing, and other special events.”
